Flash back to middle school. You’d find me in the bathroom with my best friends till 3am taking photos for MySpace. Not only that, but as soon as the weekend was over and everyone else posted their weekend adventures was actually the shit.
I lived for it.
That is where my love for the camera began. The angles, the outfits, the bangs! Mirror photos with a flash will never go out of style, and I’ll die on that hill. We’d take about 27 million pictures, chasing the perfect pose, but the ones I loved the most were the ones that weren’t planned. Our smiles looked real (if you know, you know), and we looked a lot less awkward. You know those photos that pull you into a whirlwind of the past, hitting you with the exact feelings you were feeling? That’s what I’m looking for. It geeks me out and I’m like , “Hell yes, that’s bomb ass shot,” and frame it with a tiny Twilight quote in script, calling it art.
