My Trip to Snoqualmie Falls
My laundry wasn't put away, the dishwasher wasn't running, and the bathroom was.. well, I'll just leave it at that. I'll also add that I'm not a fan of routine. I mean sure, get house work done, get work-work done, that's life and you have to do it. Sometimes though, I don't want to know what I'm doing. I really don't. I'm a huge fan of just going. Just packing up the essentials (my camera, haha) and just go! This time around we ended up at Snoqualmie Falls. It had recently down poured and for some reason it didn't click that the waterfall was going to be massive. We could hear it from the parking lot and when we got up to the end of the walkway there was mist falling all around us as if it was lightly raining. It was beautiful. The air was crisp and our hair was glistening. Seriously, this is what I live for.
For my photographer friends: I was shooting without a flash (I don't own one and the Canon 6D doesn't have one built in) and was using every light source I could. There were dimly lit lights all around the area but I was shooting at 4,000 ISO or higher the whole time!! I also didn't use any noise or grain reduction in post. I know a lot of people who have $3000 cameras and won't dare to go over 1600 so I just want to remind you to push your camera to the limit!! It's worth it, trust me.
To my husband who was working and is sometimes worried about my *crazy* ideas: I love you.
