Winter Dreaming

2017 up to this point has felt very nostalgic. I can't pin point exactly why, but I've had many memories of 2011 surface. Newlywed, 18 years young, just moved from southern Arizona to Tacoma, Washington. Did I even know what was going on??
When we got here we didn't have any money. I'm talking zero dollars in the account. After a couple days on the road fueled with gas station food, we finally made it to our little apartment. We didn't have a clue how we were going to make it. Granted, Wacey was active duty in the army so it wasn't like we were going to starve for too long. If you consider a week or two not long. We ended up getting extremely lucky when a neighbor asked for help to move some furniture in exchange for $50. McDonalds never tasted so good.
A couple weeks later the jeep completely crapped out. Selling it for $300 and some change for parts hurt. South Tacoma Way man. I will never forget that road. It was walking distance so we walked passed many dealerships until we finally got brave enough to talk to someone. We had to buy a car! I didn't have any knowledge about BUYING A CAR!
Like everything else, we winged it.

It was summertime but it felt like winter. Today, June 3rd, running errands with a sweater felt like 2011.
